I was born , brought up & spoilt there till my 10th std. Was able to see the Gopuram everyday from where we lived. When I visited there with my family after a gap of nearly two decades, it was still enchanting. Usually one finds that whatever one liked as a child may not appear to be the same and very often less than the expected.shyamala balramhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07302231998795234863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8289342.post-1136461312608153852006-01-05T17:11:00.000+05:302006-01-05T17:11:00.000+05:30So u went to srirangam? We never realised its history. It was part of our lives. Only when I moved out of Srirangam did I realise the importance of the town.<BR/>When I was there, all buildings had only one floor. There were no flats. But now there are more flats than individual houses. But mercifully, flats have been banned in the vicinity of the temple.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13299168587920941642noreply@blogger.com
