As much, or even more important is what fills the mind."

Ah, but empty stomachs tend to focus the mind really well--on getting that stomach filled.
ReplyDeleteThat's a different way of looking at it!
DeleteHi Pradeep - I'm trying to stay in a positive state of mind, with my tummy still able to be satisfied thankfully ... the world order is a bit discombobulated!! My mind doth wander - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteYes, Hilary, a positive bend of mind matters a lot.

ReplyDeleteWhile appreciating the intellectual intention here, I am inclined to think that the quality of nutrition contributes to the physical foundation upon which the intellect is dependant! YAM xx
Hi Yamini - This is an interesting way of looking at it. What I meant was a mind filled with positive energy will be able to cope with adverse environments. But, that need not be the case with just a well-filled stomach.
DeleteOur minds do not work well with an empty tummy but also our minds are often filled with some stupid stuff.
ReplyDeleteHi Jo-Anne - Indeed, food is important. Or else, our minds won't work. Taking that one step ahead, a mind filled with positive energy (and everything right) will be able to cope with adverse environments. But that need not necessarily be the case with just a well-filled stomach.
DeleteWhat fills the stomach as well as the mind should be of good quality. Junk is no good.
ReplyDeleteThat is so true.
DeleteAwesome! Be well, my dear.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Darla.

ReplyDeleteThis is me. I don't know how this is published as Anonymous.
DeleteTrue, our mind and body are interconnected. Mind can dominate over body, but not the vice versa. A mind with the right positive energy can tackle difficult situations. But a merely well-fed stomach can't.
DeleteWith you on this totally. But, of course, no one can think healthily without sufficient filling in the belly.
