What happened to my previous post?

My previous post has had surprisingly very few page views. It's less than one-fifth of the usual.

I suspected this because I didn't get the comments from some of my blog pals who have been so kind enough to not only regularly read my posts but also let me know what they felt about it.

I am just wondering what could have happened. Something seems to have gone wrong affecting the visibility of my post.

Was something wrong with Blogger when I published my post? Or is something wrong with the feed of the post and the post is not showing up?

I have to see if it was a one-off case.

    1. Hi Rajesh - Yes, indeed. :-) Looks like feeds of my post haven't been showing up on some platforms.

  3. Blogging is a random thing - I never know which posts will be popular and which will be average. Hopefully it was just an anomoly.

    1. Hi Leanne - I no expert either. But, on the Blogger dashboard there is a column that shows the page views. That's where I found it. And I thought that there is something wrong with the discoverability of my posts.

  4. Sometimes comments seem to get lost in the ether - it's a strange world.

  5. My comments have dropped. And I always thought that for me, I must not be writing anything interesting. I can't do any differently, so I just go on subject to change.

    1. Hi Katie - More than fewer comments, what led me to think that something was wrong was the fewer page views.

  6. Hi Pradeep - as I mentioned in your earlier post - just commented on it. Things have dropped off my Feedly ... I have to sort it out this summer. Cheers Hilary

  7. This happens, I believe. My recent posts suffered a similar fate too. Is blogging losing its charm for readers?

    1. Hi Tomi, of course, blogging has lost some of its earlier readers to social media. But it is still quite popular since the posts are quite thought out and not random top-of-the-mind perceptions like on most social media platforms.
Looks like there was or still is some problem with the feed of my posts. I hope it's a one-off case.

  8. Sometimes blog posts don't show up in my reader, for no reason I can figure out. If I don't check it manually, then I have no idea there's a post, and of course I don't always think to do that. I'm not sure if it's a Blogger thing or my reader or what.

  9. Apparently Feedly is being glitchy right now. I subscribe to all my blogs on Feedly, so when I'm ready to read blogs, they're all listed right there. I also subscribed to my own, so I know when it appears. (There are days when it'll not appear for hours.)

There was one time where I blogger I follow had all her posts for two weeks appear at once. That's probably what's going to happen for you.
